I've read Rosen's book up to Chapter 4 and I'm reading through this book (at chapter 7 right now). Everything is really well explained, I definitely prefer it over Rosen's (no offense!). I think Epp explains the concepts really well and in-depth. This is probably better as an in-depth introductory book, but Rosen's is probably better if you want a big reference book on a broad range of topics. For example, this book dedicates an entire chapter for explaining proofs, while Rosen's dedicates only a couple of sections. As a result, this book covers less material than Rosen, but I still prefer it just because everything is explained really well. There are definitely some typos though, so watch out for those! Most of the time their pretty obvious and correctable.
