Hmm think I got about 87ish,depending on their generosity on method marks.
Agree with the last question, dodgy.
Okay, so on the 6 mark question about VAT, I accidently made 17.5% 1150 instead of 1050, from there I done everything else fine and come to 415. How many marks will I get??
And for the circle theorem/pythag question, I worked out the side, but forgot to minus the radius, so I got 10, not 4. How many marks will I get??

drop 2 marks and 1 mark respectively
Hi Mr M
Have you got the answers to yesterdays modular higher edexcel non cal exam?
Cheers!
ohh i messed up the VAT question aswel a little bit...basically i did 17% and 0.5% and 100% all seperately then added them all up at the end...and then -3000.... divide by 10
which can also be done as a correct method, but i got the 17% wrong and everything right because i did a stupid mistake (17x60=1140) so i got the answer of 417. How many marks would i lose?
Also for the straight line graph, I think i accidently drew ast points -2 and 5 and when to the edge of the graph and I heard from some friends that I will lose a mark for that...Is that right?
Thanks
Hiya do you know the rough gade boundaries?
For the estimation question I wasn't sure what to do so I got 3.2 (showed my working out). 0,1 or 2 marks?
Also for the quartile question i put 'interquartile range is better as it shows where most of the results are condense', Would i get a mark?
Hey Mr M.
Thanks for posting up the mark scheme, I think I got around 75 but then again I am being too generous to myself and hopefully the examiner will too
On the area of a circle question, I wrote in the answer box as 100?. I know it was a foolish mistake but at that time I thought since they gave the units for pi and it was non calculator I thought it'd be wise to write in terms of pi.
However, I did remember to write in my working out space
area= ?r^2
= ?x10^2
area= 100?
100?=314 cm^2
So I really want to know if I got the full marks for that since this my year 10 early entry ended up with a B which is why I'm doing the retake and I really want an A or higher if I'm to continue A levels in my 6th form.
Looking forward to a reply.

In question 28 where is says answers close to these values will be accepted, how close roughly?
yeah i did quite well,
im so happy i got the last question right!
but the first question i got 24, how was it 36, wasnt it in the ratio of 1:2 where 1 part was 12.
and for the vectors, if i did b1/2 - a1/2 instead of 1/2b – 1/2a will i still get it right?
and will i get marks if i did 180/1000*50, do i still get some marks
i know i got it worng as i got 5, but do i still get a mark.
Hi Mr M, i got 4 questions:
1) on the simaltaneuos equations i done it wrong... i wrote 3 instead of -3 and wrote 2 instead of 1/2, however just wondering would i get any marks for attempting to work out the equation even though both my answers were wrong (although only the wrong sign for y=-3).
2) As it was my first gcse exam, i panicked and in my working out i wrote for the 6 and 2/3 for the question when the answer should of been 3/20, though 3/20 is seen in my working out. Any marks available?
3) For part b) vectors the answer was -1/2 -b - 1/2 a), however i put -1 anda 1/2 b - 1/2 a, would i get any marks for writing out 1 and a half b - 1/2 a, even though the answer didnt include 1 and a 1/2, but just a 1/2.
4) For the circle thereom which is equal to 4, i showed the lenght to be 10, then halfed it, and put my final answer as 5. However, i did show the part where i solved the lenght B to 0 being 10 by using pytharogas thereom put i halfed 10 instead of minusing it from 6. my answer was 5 not 4, showed some working out, so how many marks may i be likely to get?
Do i get any marks for ANY questions i got wrong, if i have shown some working out. Thanks.

I'm guessing it will be between 2.5 to 2.6
and -1.5 to -1.6

errrm for the first question...the question was how many chocolates were there?
so there were 3 parts, 1 part = 12...so 12x3=36
and im not sure about second mark.....i think u probably will get the marks

oh right... how could i get that wrong?
im so angry with my self
but i honestly dont think i couldve done any better, i mean i answered the last question right so im happy about that
i just really want an A* for this, im gonna have to ace my calculator if i want it.
i got an A with modular and worked hard for it, now im doing it again but in linear and i really dont want to get an A again otherwise all my work has gone to waste.
and Mr M do you know the grade boundaries?
please dont let it be 180/200 i know thats the basic grade for edexcel, bit i really hope its lower.

I think i need to get 80% or above for an A* now in the calculator exam
because the people who did the exam last november...their grade boundary was 87% overall for an A*
the people who did it in the recent june...their grade boundary was 88% overall for an A*
so presumably the grade boundary for an A* should be 89% but someone at my school said that the grade boundary for an A* cannot apparently go over 88%....so im happy
...i guess it will probably be 88% or 89% for an A*

i just dont wanna expect a low grade boundary incase i get dissapointed
i got an A last year, i dont know my percentage but iverall I got 344/400
and it was 360/400 to get an A* cuz some girl in my class got 259/400 and missed an A* it was probably by a fraction of a mark because we did modular and the marks were multiplied by i-dont-know-what

ohhh that seems close
....sorry i dont know much about modular
i cant wait for the results
